ISA leadership adopts new positioning statement
ISA announces the launch of an extensive communications campaign designed to convey the ISA commitment to "set the standard" for the automation community
ISA announces the launch of an extensive communications campaign designed to convey the ISA commitment to "set the standard" for the automation community.
The positioning statement, "Setting the Standard for Automation", was adopted by ISA leadership at recent meetings after extensive market research of both ISA Members and customers.
The research involved quantitative surveys, interviews with leaders in the automation community, and focus group sessions.
Over its 60-year history, ISA has adapted to the needs of the professional community that it serves.
The recent research has shown that ISA plays a valuable role in delivering industry standards, professional certification programs, education and training, publications, and conferences and exhibits to the automation professional.
The research also pointed out that ISA could enhance these programmes and better focus its activities in serving professionals.
According to ISA President Don Zee, "ISA is committed to providing both relevant content and a sense of community to professionals working in discrete, process, and batch communities.
Our organisation prides itself on inclusiveness in affording professionals access to the most credible and unbiased content, as well as opportunities to network with colleagues in a variety of physical and virtual venues".
ISA Executive Director Rob Renner noted that "ISA has a legacy of delivering useful tools and programs that serve as a strong foundation for the new ventures that the Society is currently pursuing.
ISA is excited about the prospects of strengthening our flagship magazine, reinvigorating our conference programmes, enhancing our unrivaled education programmes, investing in our leading industry standards activities, and expanding awareness for our professional certification activities, including the new Certified Automation Professional programme".
In setting the standard for automation, ISA expects over the next 12-18 months to unveil a number of new initiatives designed to serve the automation community and associated professionals.
