CEOs have expressed that their people are their most important asset - and ISA is working hard to make sure they stay that way.
As a leading, worldwide organization of automation professionals, the ISA focus is on honing the skills of its members and customers to improve performance.
Hundreds of individuals and companies have tapped into ISA knowledge so far in 2005.
"ISA is on the cutting edge of people improvement," said Kim Miller-Dunn, Vice President of the ISA Professional Development Department.
"Companies realise that their investment in their people needs to be on par with, if not ahead of, their investment in technology and systems.
We're on a mission to ensure those needs are met".
Through education, training, and certification programs, including support for the Control Systems Engineer (CSE) License, and ISA proprietary programs like the Certified Automation Professional (CAP), Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) and Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanics (CIMM), ISA has invested millions of dollars, and its members thousands of hours, so that automation professionals can plan, operate and maintain the most efficient facilities in the world.
ISA is dedicated to delivering what's needed by the most efficient means.
Whether it is an individual course, group course, distance learning, or a custom program on-site at a company facility, ISA programmes provide flexibility and cost-efficiency.
"ISA has conducted hundreds of on-site training programmes dealing with every facet of automation and control, and we hear great things from the companies who have gone through the programmes," said Miller-Dunn.
"Solid companies are always interested in training, because when they invest in their people, they know it helps their bottom line.
Plus, ISA training is efficient and convenient, so feedback on the programme has been extremely positive".
Through ISA standards, certification, training, publishing, or conferences, the organization helps individuals and companies improve performance.
