First annual marketing and sales summit
An ISA summit, "Best Practices in Customer Acquisition and Retention," will help marketing and sales executives in the automation markets meet the strategic and tactical challenges of the 21st century

Keynotes and plenary sessions will be run by Jane Lansing, VP Marketing, Emerson; Dan Miklovic, Managing Vice President, Gartner; Mark Taft, Senior VP Global Systems Marketing, ABB; and Brian Chapman, Director of Corporate Marketing, Honeywell Process Solutions: they will address the state of the manufacturing industry, the changing role of the senior marketing and sales executive, and the shift to service selling.
Breakout sessions will provide practical information on search engine marketing, solution selling, public relations, branding, and more.
"Automation products are complicated, our distribution channels are unique, and our customers are among the most sophisticated in the world.
This forum will provide a venue where we can discuss and more fully understand the realities of our business and how to better create customer-focused organizations," said Shari Worthington, Event Program Chair.
Industry veteran Walt Boyes serves as General Chair for the summit.
Boyes has more than 25 years of experience in sales, sales management, marketing, and product development in the controls and instrumentation industry both for process instruments and environmental controls, including Executive Committee experience in three companies.
"Each and every speaker that this summit features will focus in on marketing and sales in our markets, giving attendees relevant facts, achievable results, and tangible benefits," said Boyes.
