Participation in the Business Mission and Summit in India is a key step in the ISA globalisation plan, announced earlier this year by ISA leadership.
ISA President Ken Baker said, "ISA leadership considers India a top priority in the society's mission to set the standard for the automation profession.
We have committed to a long term investment in India to serve the expected growth in the economy and the needs of the automation community".
"India is not a journey for the faint-hearted, or for those who expect overnight success," said David Mulford, US Ambassador to India, in his address to the hundreds of Indian and American delegates at the summit: "You will need a strategy - a long term view - patience, and persistence.
But one of the world's great markets is here".
Phase two of the US Business Mission to India begins on Sunday, when ISA will participate with a select number of mission participants in a sector-focused spin-off session in Bangalore.
More information about this session will be available next week.
