Conference
ISA will host a two day conference entitled "Wireless Solutions for Manufacturing Automation: Insights for Technology and Business Success," in Richmond, Canada, on 23-24 July 2007
The programme will provide enterprise management and senior technical personnel with business insights into the current state of wireless technologies for manufacturing and control systems A pre-conference tutorial on 22 July, "An overview of all industrial Wireless-technologies, standards, applications, implications" - a WINA Tutorial - will be presented by Wayne Manges, DOE Industrial Wireless Program Manager, Oak Ridge National Laboratories

John Berra, President, Emerson Process Management and Executive Vice President, Emerson, will present a keynote address entitled "No Wires: No Limit".
In addition to his position at Emerson, Berra also serves as chairman of the Fieldbus Foundation.
Harsh Chitale, Vice President of Strategy and Global Marketing, Honeywell Process Solutions, will deliver a keynote address entitled "Top considerations when choosing a Wireless Strategy." Chitale is responsible for strategy, business development and global marketing.
"The presentations we've planned and the conference programme we've put together facilitates understanding of the wireless technology issues and business considerations that companies are facing today," said T.S Chip Lee, ISA Director of Standards, Publishing, and Technology Services: "These sessions will help people make effective decisions on when and where to utilise wireless solutions in the industrial environment".
The conference will also provide an opportunity for attendees to network with each other.
Technology displays, a private networking session, and several receptions are planned.
Open meetings of the ISA100 standards committee addressing wireless systems for automation will follow the conference on 25-27 July 2007.
