Developed specifically to address the complex challenges faced by the process industries, the PRO/II v6.0 system can significantly reduce model development time and increase plant flexibility and profitability.
The PRO/II v6.0 system is the next generation of SimSci-Esscor flagship product.
The process simulation program performs rigorous mass and energy balances for a wide range of plant processes.
From oil and gas separation to reactive distillation, the PRO/II system is a complete solution for a variety of industries including oil and gas processing, refining, petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceuticals, engineering and construction.

The PRO/II v6.0 system enhancements reflect the latest features most requested by companies such as ABB Lummus Global, a SimSci-Esscor customer that provides engineering, procurement and construction-related services to the hydrocarbon process industry in more than 70 countries.

Powerful capabilities and significant enhancements have been added to every aspect of the PRO/II optimisation solution.
The product offers improvements to unit operations by minimising time-intensive tasks, reducing total engineering time and increasing consistency and reproducibility through standardised processes.
Newly added unit operation capabilities include a fired-heater and air-cooled exchanger that delivers new levels of detail and rigor to furnace simulation and fin-fan exchangers.
A polymer electrolyte fuel cell that rigorously models chemical reactions and electrical production also is included in this upgraded solution.
Enhancements to the PRO/II system openness and software connectivity provide engineers with convenient and direct accessibility to critical information and enable the easy transfer of data to other engineering programs.
The PRO/II system now complies with global Computer Aided Process Engineering (CAPE-open) standards and incorporates the latest industry-standard electrolyte modeling technology from OLI Systems Customers can also access the DB Robinson AMSIM process simulation program for performing heat and material balance calculations.
Available as an option, it is fully integrated into the solution and easily accessible from the PRO/II system graphical user interface.
