SimSci-Esscor has signed a perpetual license agreement with ExxonMobil to provide its industry leading real-time optimisation software, ROMeo, to Exxon Mobil worldwide

SimSci-Esscor has signed a perpetual license agreement with ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company to provide its industry leading real-time optimisation (RTO) software, ROMeo, to Exxon Mobil Corporation worldwide affiliates The contract includes software licenses, engineering services, technical support and training

This new agreement provides for use of the RTO software for open- and closed-loop online unit optimisation.

In addition, the license covers use of ROMeo for offline unit optimisation such as process and equipment monitoring and olefins plant optimisation.

This agreement complements the long-standing ExxonMobil relationship with SimSci-Esscor for detailed engineering design and simulation tools.

ExxonMobil will begin implementation of ROMeo as part of its molecule management initiative.

"We are pleased that ExxonMobil has chosen SimSci-Esscor as its provider of real-time optimisation solutions," said Ken Brown, SimSci-Esscor vice president and general manager.

"Having been selected as a technology partner, we look forward to helping the company realise maximum benefits from our technology.".
