Process Engineering Suite solutions via Internet
SimSci-Esscor has announced it plans to provide access to its upstream optimisation suite and its Process Engineering Suite solutions for petrochemical and energy companies via the Internet
The platform is the first solution in the new SimSci-Esscor iFEED Suite product line specifically developed to address front-end engineering design (FEED) requirements.
iFEED Suite will be marketed to the chemical, oil and gas processing industries to support concurrent and collaborative engineering and increase front-end engineering productivity.
This innovative, fully integrated process-engineering tool is the culmination of an accomplished collaboration between SimSci-Esscor and Innotec," said Alastair Fraser, vice president of SimSci-Esscor simulation business line.
"By capitalising on SimSci-Esscor expertise in the process simulation industry and Innotec experience in delivering front-end engineering design solutions, we can expand our offerings and provide technically advanced tools to the process-engineering market".
Comos FEED enables data, document and knowledge management as well as integration of process-engineering activities by interfacing with commonly used process-engineering applications.
The seamless integration with SimSci-Esscor PRO/II process simulation software, allows import of simulation data during scope and conceptual development as well as throughout the preliminary engineering phases of a project.
The system provides multi-discipline engineers with a concurrent, distributed and collaborative environment in which to manipulate or augment simulation data.
It also provides non-simulation data for defining process flow and equipment specifications.
"Comos FEED is the first feature-rich, innovative process-engineering tool that we've released through our alliance with SimSci-Esscor" said Stephan Rohleder, chief executive officer of Innotec.
"Through our shared vision to provide the IPE industry with the next-generation of advanced solutions, this new product will enable hydrocarbon engineers to improve productivity by utilising the most powerful front-end design tools in the market".
SimSci-Esscor will market, promote and directly distribute Comos FEED through its worldwide distribution channels.
SimSci-Esscor will continue upgrading Comos FEED features and will work to develop additional front-end engineering and design tools for the iFEED suite of products.
