ITI Dresden, the Technische Universitat Dresden, and KISSsoft AG from Switzerland presented a forum with the theme 'Gearing and vibration analysis of wind power plants' at WindEnergy 2006.

Latest information concerning new software developments and engineering tools for the engineer were on show at the joint booth.

ITI Dresden develops and distributes modeling and simulation software for the dimensioning and analysis of wind powerplants.

Since 1 April 2006 the latest release SimulationX 2.0 is available.

Services for the wind power branch comprise.

* Supply of a modeling and simulation platform for a holistically consideration of wind power plants (3D-powertrain, electrical and fluidic system components, FEM-interface).

* Complete simulation models containing modular model components.

* Simulation of time and frequency domain.

* Support of identification and validation of parameters as well as system tests.
