New turbomachinery control solutions from Triconex
Triconex, an operating unit of Invensys, today announced the introduction of two new configurable control solutions for steam turbine applications, with flexibility and powerful configuration tools
Trident TMR technology is widely used in both safety instrumented system (SIS) and turbo machinery control applications in industrial process plants.
The US Patent and Trademark Office awarded the patents for significant improvement in speed measurement accuracy.
The technology enables more accurate measurement of shaft rotational speed on large industrial turbo machinery equipment for better speed and process control.
The technology also accomplishes the difficult task of measuring speed for very slow reciprocating engines.
David R Brown, a turbine and generator specialist for Invensys, originated the improvements.
The other Invensys team members included Matthew C Meyer, Ajay P Mishra, Jeffrey A Norris and David C Rasmussen.
