Wonderware, a business unit of Invensys, has announced the release of new versions of its InBatch Premier and FlexFormula batch management software products.
Both support the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP operating systems.
"We've recently noticed a strong demand for flexible, scalable batch management software like the Wonderware InBatch 8.1 Premier and FlexFormula products," said Steve Lewarne, vice president of product marketing for the Wonderware and ArchestrA business units.

Wonderware InBatch 8.1 Premier and FlexFormula products have been thoroughly tested on the Windows Server 2003 operating system and enable users to immediately leverage the advantages of increased performance, functionality and scalability.
In addition, both products are qualified to support the Microsoft Windows XP Professional operating system.
With these InBatch 8.1 product releases, Wonderware batch software now leverages the Microsoft operating system security model, which offers a security-based authentication scheme that enforces various account policies and provides seamless integrated security throughout the system.
The result is a cohesive security environment for plant intelligence applications associated with InBatch Premier and FlexFormula batch execution systems.
"Wonderware support for the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP operating systems with its InBatch Premier and FlexFormula products enables customers to simplify and unify their automation and IT computing environments by using the latest Microsoft.NET technology across both their automation and information domains," Lewarne said.
In addition to the InBatch Premier and FlexFormula products, Wonderware offers a third batch solution, InTouch software with Recipe Manager.
InTouch software with Recipe Manager is designed for applications that require simple formula management with fixed procedures in the control system and minimal or no history requirements.
InBatch Premier software is appropriate when processing complexity requires both flexible procedures and flexible formulations.
It is a cost-effective substitute for alternative custom solutions that are difficult to implement and maintain.
InBatch Premier software features a batch engine, which is responsible for recipe execution, equipment management and capturing the complete batch history.
Rounding out the Wonderware offering is InBatch FlexFormula software.
InBatch FlexFormula is designed for applications that require simple formula management with fixed procedures in the control system and require batch history and reporting.
Both InBatch Premier and InBatch FlexFormula software can facilitate the design and implementation of systems, applications and solutions that are compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulations.
They can significantly decrease engineering time, cost of ownership and maintenance and offer scalability and flexibility.
