Industrial vibrators broadly comprise four types, electro-magnetic, rotary electric out-of-balance, hydraulic rotary out-of-balance and pneumatic

Applications include the driving of vibratory screens, sizers, feeders, conveyors, bin and stock-pile dischargers, concrete mould shakers and compactors, and the fitting of vibrators direct to bins and silos to aid discharge The principal part of the range offered by the Invicta Vibrator Division of Grantham Engineering is the extensive choice of rotary electric models, both foot and flange-mounted

This is augmented by hydraulically-driven out-of-balance machines and three types of pneumatic vibrator.

Invicta foot-mounted rotary electric vibrators are available in three complementary ranges, the BLz, the EBK and the ULBK Series.

1) BLz machines are suitable for use in normal environments and are also certified for use in Zone 21 and Zone 22 areas, where dust is present as a hazard as defined by ATEX Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX 95) (II 2 D).

2) EBK vibrators are explosion proof and are certified for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 areas, where flammable gases, vapours and mists are potential hazards.

Models EBK20 - EBK40 are certified for Gas Groups IIA and IIB; Models EBK 45 - EBK75 for Gas Group IIA.

3) ULBK vibrators are explosion proof and conform to the requirements of Underwriters Laboratories Specification UL674 (File No.E74479) Class 1, Groups C and D; Class 2 Groups E,F and G up to 600V.

The rotary electric vibrator range covers outputs from 216 Newtons (22kg) through to 181485 Newtons (18500kg).

All three series offer 2, 4, 6 and 8-pole models and most are available in both 50Hz and 60Hz versions.

A small DC-powered vibrator is also available.

Invicta pneumatic vibrators are available in three versions:.

Type BCAR - double air-cushioned for reduced noise, continuous operation.

Type BCIR, designed for continuous impacting - air-cushioned on the return stroke.

Type BSIR, a single-impacting model normally controlled by a solenoid valve and timer and capable of delivering up to 100 impacts per minute.

All models comply with EN13461-1 and ATEX Directive 94/9/EC for use in Group II Category areas, Gas (Zones 1 and 2) - Temperature Class T5, and Dust (Zones 21 and 22) - Temperature Rating 100C.

Two types of hydraulically powered vibrator are available.

The Type HV is a single shaft machine similar to BLz vibrators, whereas the Type HVL features two mechanically linked counter-rotating shafts and weight sets and delivers a linear vibration.

Comprehensive technical specifications, data sheets, company information and details of distributors worldwide are available on the newly updated website.
