The Migatron RPS401A Ultrasonic Sensor works at -20C and has just been used on an ice cutting machine, which produces perfectly square ice blocks that will later be used for ice sculpting.

The sensor is available in 1 or 2 metre measurement ranges with temperature compensation between -20C and +60C, resulting in no variation on the analogue output, on either 4 to 20mA or 0 to 10VDC both with adjustable zero and span settings.

This is one of a number of non-contacting position sensors available from Ixthus Instrumentation, who provide technical support for design and development.
