Ingersoll-Rand has signed an agreement to purchase Officine Meccaniche Industriali srl (OMI), of Italy, creating a fully comprehensive combined product range for the global air solutions market
OMI is a leading European provider of compressed-air treatment equipment It develops and manufactures refrigerated and adsorption air dryers, filters, condensation management products, heat exchangers, chillers, and system controllers that all serve to maximise the productivity and reliability of compressed air systems for a variety of industrial applications

Founded in 1989, OMI headquarters is based in northeast Italy in Fogliano Redipuglia, Gorizia Province.
The two largest production facilities are in Italy and in Logatec, Slovenia.
OMI has 120 employees and several hundred live accounts.
With this acquisition, Ingersoll Rand will complete its range of compressed air systems and offer the most comprehensive suite of solutions and services, under the two brands, in the global air solutions market.
This partnership will enable Ingersoll Rand and OMI to expand globally with a new, wider global sales and service network, a broadened portfolio of products, and enhanced manufacturing, engineering, sourcing and product development.

Upon completion of the acquisition, OMI will operate as part of the Air Solutions business in the Ingersoll Rand Industrial Technologies Sector.
