Stephen Blair appointed Managing Director for Invensys Process Systems in Great Britain

The new appointment of Stephen Blair to head up Invensys Process Systems (IPS) in the UK will provide strong management and direction to this important Invensys business unit His broad experience and specific knowledge of petrochem market will be of particular value in driving the IPS sales effort in the UK, Ireland, Iceland and assigned English-speaking African Territories

Steve joins Invensys from Silvertech Ltd, a systems design and control engineering company supplying computer based high integrity control and safety systems for the oil and gas, petrochemical and general industries markets worldwide.

During his 12 years with Silvertech, Steve held increasingly senior positions from Petrochemical Systems Manager progressing to Sales and Marketing Director.

Prior joining Silvertech he spent ten years with Computing Devices, an international supplier of leading edge based technology to the global defence market, beginning as a Hardware Design Engineer and moving progressively to the role of Marketing Manager.

In his career, Steve has acquired invaluable expertise in general management and strategic business plan development and implementation.

This, combined with his proven track record in international sales and his engineering background make Steve an ideal leader for the IPS business as Invensys continues to focus on customer development and sustainable growth in all areas of their business.
