Jekyll now offers SIM cards in telemetry package
Jekyll can now offer its customers a complete telemetry package including SIM cards and bespoke tariffs and contract terms to suit the wide range of applications for which its solutions are used.
The kit comprises all the necessary hardware and software components needed to install, configure and set-up the renowned Telemodem2 Mobile device.
With its small size, low power and operating modes tailored to telemetry applications, the Telemodem2 Mobile is the ideal GSM telemetry modem.
Its low power functions include an idle mode in which it draws only 5microA from the host power supply to which it is connected.
In this mode it can be woken up by the host to establish an outgoing call.
Alternatively, a timed answer window can be set up on the unit during which incoming calls or SMS messages will be received.
A supply current of only 0.7mA is required from the host.
As well as the modem, this unique kit comprises an IP67 half-wave dipole aerial, power supply unit, pay-as-you-go SIM card and a copy of Remote Manager, PC software that enables users to utilise the modem remote diagnostic and configuration capability.
Remote Manager has proved invaluable when initially developing telemetry systems.
Technical support by telephone is also included for the first month after purchase.
