Jekyll Electronic Technology is pleased to announce the launch of a new generation of wireless telemetry products at MTEC2008

Already well known to design engineers and systems integrators for its range of industrial modems, Jekyll now offers the Tele2 series for a host of M2M applications including energy management, vending, traffic and environmental monitoring, gaming and access control The new Tel2 Mobile Quadband modem has been designed with global organisations in mind

However, where it stands out from other modems available is the incorporation of a unique watchdog to monitor modem status.

This means that should there be any problem with network connectivity, the modem will automatically reset itself and reconnect to the network.

Using the proven Jekyll GSM communication modules, this new generation avoids the communication problems generally associated with off-the-shelf GSM modems.

Designed for use in industrial environments, the Tel2 Mobile is small and compact and comes with both mounting and housing options to suit the environment for which it is to be used.

Other products on this new range include the Tele2LAN and a series of PSTN modems.

The Tele2LAN is a simple and cost-effective way for companies to use their existing network structure to access data.

Ideal applications include automatic meter reading, counting footfall in places such as shopping centres and sporting stadia, access control and security monitoring situations.

The Tele2 PSTN modems provide the perfect products for use in areas where GSM coverage is poor and signal reliability is essential for critical applications.

All new modems are RoHS compliant, lightweight and compact.

Ideal for the numerous applications where space is limited.
