Barge-mounted bunker blender for Spain
Jiskoot has supplied another in-line fuel oil blending system for use on a barge by Astilleros De Murueta in the Algeciras Harbour in Spain, delivering bunker fuels across a wide range of viscosities
Jiskoot has supplied another in-line fuel oil blending system for use on a barge by Astilleros De Murueta in the Algeciras Harbour in Spain The skid-mounted system will be mounted on the deck of a bunker barge giving the client the flexibility to deliver bunker fuels across a wide range of viscosities, from IF30 to IF460 as well as single products such as HFO

Jiskoot sampling system gets the right mix
Three Jiskoot CoJetix Sampling Systems are being installed in an oil terminal in the Middle East, on 16" feed lines between the jetty off-loading metering station and the tank farm
System control is by a Jiskoot InSight Blend Controller, which employs closed loop control to accurately moderate the flow in each feed line using the flow signal from the flowmeters and the control valves mounted in the inlet streams.
This delivers improved quality, faster blending and greater flexibility over traditional batch blending methods and allows the client to reduce storage, operation costs and capital locked-up in pre-blended stocks.
The blender continuously blends the component products according to the recipe set by the operator and produces a finished product of closely defined quality allowing blending and loading in a single process.

Dutch gas sampler was pre-designed in 3D

The controller varies the degree of opening of the control valves so as to throttle flow and maintain the required blend ratio and flow rate as set by the operator.
Once the blender has been started, the process is self-supervisory and can produce the final product and billing totally unsupervised, only informing the operator if an alarm condition occurs.
As the end of the required batch approaches, the control valves begin ramping down to the closed position, ensuring that the blend ratio is maintained at all times and that the required batch size is provided accurately.
Mounted in a self-contained enclosure suitable for hazardous area environments and fitted with Jiskoot standard blender software, the InSight Blender Controller is a dedicated blending control unit that constantly assesses the quality and throughput of the blender and adjusts parameters for optimal performance.
The InSight Blend Controller automatically guards against system faults or adverse conditions and shuts down the blender should there be zero flow, through either blockage or loss of signal.
The blender also automatically compensates flow rates if either product in the mix is restricted.
Changes in schedules and requirements can be accommodated simply by the selection of a different recipe from the controller.
The Insight has an inbuilt serial link for connection to the existing Terminal Management System.
