A Jiskoot fast loop sampling system has been chosen to take representative samples of gas condensate from the process pipeline for further analysis under laboratory conditions

A Jiskoot fast loop sampling system has been chosen by RAO Gazprom, Russia, via Incomsystems to take representative samples of gas condensate from the process pipeline for further analysis under laboratory conditions Mounted directly in a bypass loop taken off the main process line, two 2inch Jiskoot 210 EH cell samplers use a patented 3-stage method to extract, isolate and transfer sample grabs into 4-litre constant pressure receivers maintaining the condensate at line pressure so that gaseous elements are not lost

The self-contained electro-hydraulic system only requires electrical supply and control signals for operation.

It includes spool assemblies and static mixer, automatic receiver valves, a manual sample point taken directly off the bypass loop under full line pressure and the new Jiskoot shearmix mixing workstation.

An insulated GRP enclosure is mounted on a steel framework.

Sample grab rate set is by the controller either in proportion to the process flow rate or according to batch duration.

The sample is ejected from the 210 sampler into one of the two receivers connected to each sampler.

The variable volume sample receivers are pre-charged with inert gas to maintain the sample at process pressure conditions for accurate analysis.

Each has two magnetic proximity sensors that are set at the 6% and 80% fill levels, which can be set as alarms or to initialise receiver change-over.

Receiver selection is achieved using the can change solenoid valve, which automatically directs sample flow to an empty receiver when the first becomes full.

Two relief valves, set at 80 and 100 bar, provide the back pressure required for sampler operation and protect the pipework in the event of a blockage or a valve being left in the closed position.

The system incorporates 16 valves and 8 pressure gauges piped to each side of the sample receivers which allow isolation of the receivers and venting of the lines so that the quick release couplings can be released.
