Seal selection software complies with API standard

A John Crane EAA product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jun 4, 2003

John Crane has underlined its market-leading status with the introduction of a dedicated version of its well-established CSelect software which now complies with the requirements of API 682 standard

The new, free, CSelect682 software allows the user to manage the selection of John Crane sealing technology according to the stipulations of the revised American Petroleum Institute standard that was issued late last year.

John Crane was the first seal manufacturer to qualify a selection of its products to comply with this revision, and the new software eases the task of their specification for individual projects.

Available on a multi-lingual CD-Rom, CSelect682 allows the user to complete the seal selection element of an API 682 seal datasheet electronically.

Records can be saved, printed or emailed automatically, and a comprehensive help function is included to guide the user.

The new software represents the latest step in the evolution of John Crane CSelect software, which has been proven in use over many years and across numerous industrial sectors.
