The widely respected Chinese company Tianjin Timing Seals Co has been acquired by John Crane EAA, the internationally acknowledged leader in modern sealing technology.

The resulting new company, Tianjin-based John Crane Timing, is a unique presence in the Chinese market and for the first time ever it provides customers in this region with local access to a global scale resource.

Tianjin Timing Seals Co has earned itself a reputation as a leading provider of hi-technology turbo-machinery sealing products for industrial applications.

Led by a recognised expert in fluid sealing technology, Academician of the Chinese Institute of Engineers, Professor Wang Yuming, the company has developed an impressive combination of design skills, manufacturing facilities, local market knowledge and a presence which have earned it a prominent position in the region.

The creation of John Crane Timing will now build on that position by offering customers in the region a wider range of products, improved in-territory facilities and easy access to an impressive resource which blends the very latest sealing technology with a wealth of practical sealing expertise.

With the support of the worldwide John Crane organization, John Crane Timing will now be the only company in the region able to use its own proprietary technology to develop the very latest sealing solutions for different types of application.

The company's comprehensive product range will be drawn from both the existing John Crane and Tianjin Timing Seals Co portfolios, and will include both high and low pressure seals suited to many different applications in such process industries as oil, gas, pulp and paper, petrochemicals and chemicals.

Complementing these seals will be a variety of associated products such as John Cranes Metastream power transmission couplings and the Monobloc seal support systems that will allow John Crane Timing to provide comprehensive sealing solutions tailored to satisfy the specific needs of individual clients.

Technical support and service will be available on a round-the-clock basis both on-site, and at the company's Tianjin headquarters, which also provides customers with access to state-of-the-art seal repair and test facilities.

John Crane Timing will reflect the principal goal of the entire John Crane organisation, which is to generate long-term partnerships with its customers by providing cost-effective sealing solutions that contribute towards reducing the total cost of ownership for those customers.
