John Crane has revealed details of its new Safematic FL300 oil lubrication reservoir and pumping centre, making Flowline automatic lubrication systems available for ever smaller installations

John Crane has revealed details of its new Safematic FL300 oil lubrication reservoir and pumping centre which now makes the proven advantages of the Flowline automatic lubrication system available to smaller installations then ever before.

The FL300 is part of the overall John Crane Safematic range that provides reduced lubrication and maintenance costs, plus increased reliability and runnability, to numerous different industries, especially pulp and paper.

Featuring a compact, space-saving and easily installed design the FL300 offers a pumping and oil processing capacity of up to 30 litres per minute, and is ideal for lubricating twin roll presses, single gear boxes, air fans and other similar applications.

Available in stainless or acid proof steel, it can be supplied with one or two pumps, and controlled either from its own inbuilt panel or remotely from an external control unit.

Traditional lubrication systems often have less than half of the oil circulating effectively and feature poor retention times which hamper the removal of impurities.

Like the other oil reservoirs in the Flowline series the FL300 provides effective circulation of large volumes of oil, which is delivered in exactly the right quantity to each lubrication point.

The FL300 also eliminates contaminants such as abraded or oxidised particles, and is especially effective in removing air and water bubbles from the oil.

The FL300 joins the other Flowline reservoir and pumping centres in the Safematic range, which between them are now able to handle flow capacities between 1 and 1300 litres per minute.

The FL300 represents yet another result of the John Crane Safematic on-going product development strategy that is based on customer feedback and market requirements.
