On IWEX Stand No C65 John Crane will be displaying some of the versatile sealing, lubrication and power transmission solutions that it provides to the water and wastewater industries The company has supplied these sectors for many years

Its specialist products have been proven in use many times over, and this industry experience will form a key part of the company presence at the exhibition.

A key seal that the company will be displaying is the Type 3710 cartridge split seal which represents the latest evolution of this type of product.

Ideal for pumps and other rotating equipment it combines a compact split O-ring design with advanced split seal technology, and this enables it to meet both current and anticipated environmental guidelines.

The Type 3710 is intended for applications which demand reliability and minimal downtime, and its unique, easily installed design adapts to horizontal and vertical pumps, mixers, and agitators.

The John Crane extensive split seal experience will also be represented by the well-proven Type 37FS heavy duty split elastomer bellows seal.

This is a low-maintenance but effective sealing solution for large, difficult equipment such as agitators, mixers and pumps, and as it is outside mounted it can be used to solve axial run out and vibration problems.

Cartridge seals are another area in which John Crane will demonstrate its ability at the exhibition.

On show will be the 4600 range of compact, general duty single O-ring cartridge seals which are typified by the Type 4610 model.

This compact, single-cartridge seal meets key industry pump standards, and is designed for use in rotating shaft equipment where ANSI/DIN/API design seals will not fit in water-based pumps, close coupled pumps, vertical water pumps and similar rotating shaft equipment.

Available off-the-shelf the world over the Type 4610 seal offers a new level of affordable and dependable sealing.

It represents a complete and flexible sealing solution, and along with the other 4600 range seals it underlines the John Crane ability to satisfy virtually any general industrial sealing requirement.

Designed for quick and easy installation the FFET single cartridge O-ring seal will also be displayed.

Its compact design ensures that it will fit all ANSI and DIN stuffing boxes and it offers an ideal upgrade from packing.

The robust FFET is intended for a wide variety of applications, including difficult top-entry mixers where the liquid product may not provide continuous cooling and lubrication of the seal faces.

The use of premium seal face materials ensures low heat generation and dry-running thermal stability, and a design variation is available which is specifically intended for use on hygienic top-entry agitator equipment.

Versatile, economic and reliable operation is just one characteristic of the John Crane Safematic MultiLube system that will be shown on stand C65.

This centralised and automatic system offers a lubrication solution for individual machines and equipment which provides excellent quality lubrication, extended intervals between downtime and major savings in spares inventory costs.

It is compact, self-contained and features a modular design that is both simple to install and easy to operate.

The result is an optimum lubrication system that reduces both energy and lubricant consumption.

Power transmission couplings are another key product that John Crane supplies to the water industry.

Metastream M Series membrane couplings require little maintenance and are particularly suited for electric motor applications.

They can accommodate high degrees of angular, lateral and axial misalignment whilst maintaining balance integrity.

Metastream T series couplings are engineered for powerful performance and feature the same level of robustness and reliability.
