John Crane lands CBM contract from Talisman

A John Crane EAA product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Nov 13, 2008

John Crane has been awarded a condition-based maintenance (CBM) contract from Talisman Energy, which will initially run for a period of three years.

The contract is to provide CBM services covering a wide range of rotating equipment at Talisman's onshore and offshore sites in the North Sea.

The CBM service is designed to provide management and decision makers with accurate condition information about their assets both on and off site, at locations anywhere in the world.

Advanced processing turns the data into useful information, which is reviewed by specialists and compared against historical performance.

This allows timely and informed decisions to be made, improving uptime and increasing operational efficiency.

John Crane provides a range of services, including condition monitoring (CM), hardware and software products, CBM, computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and asset management.

All are designed to deliver improved equipment availability and reliability.

These are allied with substantial machinery knowledge, software analysis tools and integration into clients' existing systems.

John Crane has also added engineered bearings and specialist filtration systems to its product portfolio.
