A ProcessEngineering Live! 2009 product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Aug 28, 2008

With a fresh event format, and 100% focused and dedicated to the process market, ProcessEngineering Live comes to Manchester Central on 10th and 11th March 2009

ProcessEngineering Live is a new and innovative event that will celebrate everything about the process sector in the UK.

From innovation to established practices this dynamic, fresh event from the publishers of leading magazines such as Process Engineering and The Engineer, plus websites such as www.processingtalk.com, will offer companies a unique opportunity to come together with decision makers and do business in a vibrant environment.

The event will see exhibitors alongside on floor theatres and working demonstrations of products and services, creating an active and energetic atmosphere that is conducive for business.

The on floor theatres will host a range of seminars, industry forums and workshops allowing visitors to interact with the experts.

Seminar content will concentrate on topical issues facing the industry, placing emphasis on breaking technologies such as wireless, along with a mix of product presentations from top businesses.

Education and training plays an important role at ProcessEngineering Live.

Research has suggested that over 75% of our target audience are looking for additional training in their current job, while over 70% of engineering graduates don't currently go into engineering roles.

This event will focus on these needs by showcasing exhibitors, speakers and presentations for this market within the 'Skills Theatre'.

ProcessEngineering Live is offering comprehensive educational and training content.

Conference sessions including seminars, forums and workshops will tackle some of the most critical issues facing process engineering today.

Process Engineering Magazine and www.Processingtalk.com will jointly host three streams of conference activity, introduced by a keynote paper on the conference theme of Global Competitiveness and Best Practice.

A core VIP stream of conference sessions will address three main subject areas:.

* Process and Asset management (including field communications, wireless, maintenance strategies, condition monitoring).

* Energy and environment (including mapping energy usage, energy efficiency measures, emissions control, emissions monitoring).

* Agile production (e.g automation, data sharing across the organisation, supplying your customer).

These sessions will feature case study presentations from leading edge operators who will explain how they are addressing important current issues facing the process industries.

The second stream of educational content will focus on skills and talent management and will look at the two key areas:.

* Attracting young engineers and talent from other sectors.

* Skills development.

The third stream consists of live workshops; this is an opportunity for suppliers to demonstrate their products live on the show floor.
