Zenon provides overview of automation processes

A ProcessEngineering Live! 2009 product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jan 27, 2009

Copa Data UK will display its Zenon SCADA industrial automation software at Process Engineering Live 2009.

Zenon offers open architecture, simple interfaces and open driver interfaces, whether it is applied to a human machine interface (HMI), a process control and visualisation system (SCADA) or an interface for data collection.

A SAP-certified bidirectional interface now connects SCADA with ERP.

This allows Zenon and SAP ERP to work in unison to carry out the tasks previously performed manually or by separate MES products.

The HMI/SCADA system uses a bidirectional interface to interact with SAP ERP.

This means it sends messages about any type of event to the ERP level and also receives control commands from that position.

Companies can now directly link their process level with the ERP level, making a closed information loop and giving them a complete overview of their business as it happens.

Process Engineering Live will take place at Manchester Central on 10 and 11 March 2009.
