Resistance thermometers for the processing industry with Ex (dust) approval (ATEX).

The resistance thermometers for process engineering, from Jumo, are now available with an ATEX Ex (dust) approval.

These thermometers are built with IP65 enclosure protection, and can be used in Zones 29/21/22.

In the past, dust explosions occurred more frequently than gas explosions, since ignitable dust-air mixtures were underestimated.

Areas with a dust-explosion hazard can be found, for example, in flour and grain silos, in the feedstuff and woodworking industries, as well as in some sectors of the metalworking industry.

Plant operators can use the technical data provided in the data sheets to calculate the Ex "i" circuit and the heating up of the resistance thermometer in fault conditions.

The assembly of the thermometer is flexible in its process connection, protection tube material and measuring circuit, so that it can be adapted to suit the installation.
