Eighteen months application has seen the Imago 500 expand to eight controller channels: it is now increasingly used not just as a process controller, but also for more general operational functions
Following the UL approval of the built-in versions last year for the American and Canadian markets, the range of available models has now been expanded to include wall-mounting versions.
The well-known spectrum of measured variables covers measurement and control of pH and Redox values, electrolytical conductivity, ultra pure water (including USP function), free chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone, and hydrogen peroxide.
The standard versions of these instruments are thoroughly tried and tested, with 2 floating relay contacts and an electrically isolated process value output - and the wide-range power supply facilitates worldwide application.
The modular design makes it easy to expand the functionality through a second analogue output or an RS 422/485 serial interface - or the Profibus-DP version that is so important in process technology.
In practise, physical restrictions in buildings and rooms very frequently make it necessary to install the transmitter/controllers on site, close to the sensors, instead of in a central installation in a switchgear cabinet or the control room.
So the proven features of these instruments have been incorporated into a new, professional wall-mounting housing in Jumo design.
