Jumo Ex thermostats have passed the EU type examination according to ATEX Directive 94/9/EC, and are approved for the control and monitoring of temperature in potentially hazardous areas

EU Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX) regulates explosion protection in Europe, and is valid without restriction for all member states of the European Union.

Jumo Ex thermostats have passed the EU type examination in accordance with ATEX Directive 94/9/EC, and are approved as electrical equipment for the control and monitoring of temperature in either potentially explosive gas atmospheres in Zone 1, or potentially explosive dust atmospheres in Zone 21.

This series of instruments can be supplied for various temperature ranges from -20C to + 500C, as: either temperature monitors, fail-safe temperature monitors, temperature limiters, or fail-safe protection temperature limiters.

The electrical switching device is a microswitch in a flameproof enclosure, with a changeover contact rated for 16A at 230V AC.

The housing is made from glass fibre reinforced polyester, and fulfils enclosure protection EN 60529-IP65.

The right design for the market and reliability at favourable prices are the outstanding features of the Jumo Ex thermostats.
