The new refrigeration controller Jumo

The control of compressors, defrosting heaters and fans - cyclically or in real-time - is the basic function of a refrigeration controller Its application (for instance, in refrigerated rooms, displays or shop counters) requires, furthermore, the ability to communicate with a supervisory computer or to create HACCP-compliant documentation of a temperature curve through a data-logger (HACCP = Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point; a systematic method for the analysis of processes in the food industry)

Various scandals in connection with processing and transporting food have resulted in ever tighter regulations: so a recording function has been integrated into the Jumo Imago F3000 process controller
Jumo Imago 500 process and programme controller
Eighteen months application has seen the Imago 500 expand to eight controller channels: it is now increasingly used not just as a process controller, but also for more general operational functions
The Jumo ecoTRON M100 from Jumo Instrument offers users a wide range of application areas through a variety of expanded configurations.
Two measuring inputs - configurable as Pt100, Pt1000, KTY1x-6, KTY2x-6 - acquire the refrigeration room and compressor temperatures.
The compressor is switched directly through a high-power 16A relay, and other relays are available for controlling the defrosting heating and the fan.
An integrated operating hours counter records the running time of the compressor, and signals when servicing is due (according to an adjustable service interval).
An (optional) relay output or buzzer is built in as an alarm signalling device.
A binary input responds to (for instance) a door contact or permits an external start/stop of the defrosting.
In addition, the "Interface, data-logger, real-time clock" options provide the possibility of communication via an RS485 interface, to record the temperature curve of the two inputs at an adjustable recording interval, or to control the defrosting according to a precise real-time signal.
A set-up programme and a PC interface cable are provided for simple programming via the set-up interface (fitted as standard).
With a clearly laid out operating concept and an easy-to-read LC display, the Jumo ecoTRON M100 is a convincing high-performance refrigeration controller for numerous applications in refrigeration engineering.
