A new temperature datalogger has been specifically designed to make a record of potentially critical temperature variations experienced by a valuable product or package while in-transit

Kalestead have introduced a temperature datalogger which has been specifically designed to make a record of potentially critical temperature variations experienced by a valuable product or package while in-transit.

Designed as a disc measuring only 10 x 6mm, x 3.5 mm thick, the Ki-8818 is designed to withstand rough handling, and fits unobtrusively into even small packages.

It has the ability to read ambient temperatures within the range -40 to +85C, and may be programmed to take samples at intervals between one second and two hours.

Having the capacity to store up to 8,000 individual readings, its integral memory is therefore capable of recording temperature variations during a journey of several days.

Upon arrival at its destination, the datalogger is removed from the package and its stored data down loaded and examined, using an integral RS232 interface and Microsoft compatible software.

It may then be programmed for its next journey.

The Ki-8818 is priced at only GBP89.
