Cables conform to RoHS and WEEE
directives
Custom cables specialist Kalestead can already manufacture any cable in compliance with the RoHS and WEEE directives: by January 2006 all cable production will be compliant
Custom cables specialist Kalestead have announced that they are capable of manufacturing any cable in compliance with the RoHS and WEEE directives; and that by January 2006, all cables manufactured by the Company will be compliant Commenting, Kalestead Sales manager, Chris Hayden, said 'The Company has in the past frequently been required to omit hazardous substances from insulation materials, as well as meeting low smoke and fume, zero halogen and fire retardant requirements
Though previously an element of our custom capabilities, as from January next year these factors will apply to all un-terminated and terminated cables of Kalestead manufacture, which will therefore automatically satisfy both the RoHS and WEEE directives.'.
