As well as the sale of the instruments, it was identified that in order to properly meet the requirements of their customers Katronic needed to offer more than just a sales service.
Whilst some customers are able to identify a permanent requirement for a flowmeter, some customers only require in instrument for a shorter period.
To this end Katronic has introduced two additional services to its product portfolio.
One of these is a Flowmeter Hire Service for the portable instruments where customers do not have sufficient annual demand for buying their own instrument but who do require measurements on an occasional basis.
The second option is for a Measurement Service whereby a Katronic engineer attends site with a portable flowmeter and carries out measurements on behalf of the customer.
For many customers the Measurement Service is the ideal solution as it allows them to obtain the measurements that they require, in a short period of time without the need to divert their own engineers from their daily tasks.
Furthermore, by employing a member of the Katronic service team they can have absolute confidence that the flowmeter is being used correctly as well as receiving immediate feedback on the flow measurements, pipe conditions and any application-related issues that might exist.
This Measurement Service has proved so popular with customers that Katronic have recently employed a full-time service engineer in order to meet demand.
The Measurement Service is available to anyone in the UK and is charged at an hourly or daily rate based on requirement.
The measurement information is presented to the customer in the form of a detailed report following the engineers' visit.
Furthermore, Katronic would offer a special discount to any customer who decides to purchase a flowmeter following a Measurement Service.
