ArcFeed 200 and 300 are two new wire feeders just launched by welding equipment manufacturer, Kemppi (UK), using voltage sensing technology

These new wire feeders have been designed so that existing users of both CC (Constant Current) and CV (Constant Voltage) characteristic MMA and other power sources can expand their welding capabilities by providing a low cost short cut to MIG/MAG welding Voltage sensing technology uses the welding arc voltage to generate the power needed to control the feeder

After the operator has selected his/her desired settings with the material and the wire size, and the arc is struck and the feeder automatically controls the welding parameters so that weld quality is maintained.

A feature of this feeder is that there are no control connecting cables between the feeder and the power source as in normal MIG/MAG welding, only power cables.

This makes these wire feeders very mobile and being lightweight they are ideal for on-site applications including shipyards, construction sites as well as in general fabrication.

ArcFeed is a small investment to improve productivity, especially in applications where productivity plays a far greater role than the use of sophisticated welding parameters keeping tight tolerances in weld quality.

Strong and impact resistant double skinned plastic casings provide excellent electrical isolation for these feeders.

All components are fully enclosed to withstand impacts and water ingress, whilst the 4-wheel drive feeding system ensures a smooth constant wire feed.

As well as automatic sensing of the power source polarity, standard features include a display of the last welding parameters used, on an LCD shock proof polycarbonate display.

Adjustment of the post gas time, burn-back time, gas testing and wire feed inching parameters are also provided inside the ArcFeed case.
