Keithley seminar discusses solar-cell measurement

A Keithley Instruments product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Dec 1, 2009

Keithley Instruments will broadcast a free web-based seminar titled 'Photovoltaic Measurements: Testing the Electrical Properties of Today's Solar Cells' on 10 December at 15:00 CET.

During the 45min seminar, Keithley's Chris Armstrong will give an overview of the electrical measurements of photovoltaic development, from basic research to early production.

He will be exploring the physical measurements made, as well as the theory and cell properties that can be inferred from the results.

The webinar is aimed at researchers, engineers and materials scientists who are developing solar/photovoltaic applications and need a better understanding of solar-cell test methods.

It will encompass capacitance-voltage characterisation and current-voltage characterisation, including DC and pulse techniques, as well as common measurements of a cell's efficiency.

Attendants will have the opportunity to question the presenter during an interactive QandA session.
