Kistler single axis, K-Shear piezoelectric accelerometers are now available with a Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) to simplify installation and calibration

Kistler Instruments Type 8702B and 8704B ranges of single axis, K-Shear piezoelectric accelerometers are now available with a Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) to simplify installation and calibration.

Three measuring ranges, 25g, 50g and 100g, with or without ground isolation, cover the majority of industrial and laboratory vibration monitoring applications.

The rugged, hermetically sealed titanium construction, with radial or axial connector, high shock load tolerance of 2,000g and 100% overload limit provide excellent long-term stability ensuring repeatable, accurate measurements over many years.

An integral Piezotron impedance converter provides a high signal level at low impedance output and the threaded 10-32 UNF stud mounting provides secure attachment of the accelerometer to the test structure.

The optional PiezoSmart automatic sensor identification is an active system for identifying individual acceleration sensors.

The system, based on the IEEE 1451.4 standard, is used to automatically set the parameters of a measuring chain.

The main element of PiezoSmart is the Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) held within the accelerometer.

This contains all the essential data of an individual sensor, which can be exchanged with ancillary equipment.

The Kistler Type 8702B and 8704B accelerometers provide an effective, economical and rugged solution to predictive maintenance vibration monitoring applications in hostile industrial environments.
