The Kluber Lubrication Asset Support Programme has enabled a diversity of companies to make gains in their profitability and competitive advantage

Since the recent introduction of the Kluber Lubrication Asset Support Programme, a diversity of companies have been making gains to their profitability and competitive advantage.

Companies including those in the food, drink and pharmaceuticals sectors are now reporting far reaching benefits ranging from breakdown reduction, extended re-lubrication intervals, no corrosion, no contamination and all round increases in efficiency.

The Lubrication programme is a development of the Kluber culture, a belief that lubrication is an investment and not a cost.

It goes far further than simply improving business performance.

But the full benefits of good lubrication as part of a management and maintenance regime are not always realised.

The programme is designed to maximise the return from investment in Kluber lubrication.

The programme is firmly based in good manufacturing practice, it starts with an audit of operational environment and constraints, using HACCP and risk analysis to quantify needs and establish a comprehensive lubrication schedule.

The results include lower operating costs, extended machine and component life, less lubrication-related maintenance, reduced downtime, lower energy consumption, less waste and environmental impact and enhanced in-house skills and knowledge.

The programme provides management of all lubrication and includes scheduling, storage and handling as well as specification and use.

It involves a complete audit of plant requirements and documented maintenance scheduling.

It includes OEM co-ordination and liaison and onsite implementation assistance.

It also provides period audits, evaluation, management reporting and reviews and full training for those involved, from maintenance personnel, line supervisors and operators.

All these elements combine to ensure that everything involved in lubrication is being done improve reliability, productivity and profitability for a customer.
