Koch SR3 elements offer significantly lower operating costs for a wide variety of dairy selective rejection applications, including de-ashing and separation of carbohydrates and proteins

The Koch Membrane Systems SR3 elements offer significantly lower operating costs for a wide variety of dairy selective rejection applications, including de-ashing and separation of carbohydrates and proteins Ideally suited for whey pre-concentration, salt whey diafiltration, and lactose demineralisation, the SR3 elements from KMS utilise a proprietary polyamide thin-film composite membrane

These spiral wound membranes offer a cost-effective solution for a wide variety of dairy and food process streams.

The molecular weight cut-off is such that the membrane will pass monovalent salts like sodium chloride, yet retain divalent salts, proteins and sugars.

Retention of sugars, such as lactose, typically exceeds 99 percent.

The SR3 dairy elements are specifically designed to conform to USDA 3-A and FDA guidelines.

For cleaning-in-place, the allowable pH range is 2.0 to 11.0.

For continuous operation, the pH range is 3.0 to 10.0.

Fluid Systems TFC-SR3 spiral elements are available in 4-inch and 8-inch diameters at the standard 38 and 39-inch lengths.

KMS offers a complete line of antiscalants, cleaners and maintenance chemicals for nanofiltration membranes.

Kochtreat antiscalants and Kochkleen membrane cleaners help prolong membrane life and reduce cleaning cycle time.

All KMS chemical formulations are carefully reviewed by the company's process engineers and polymer scientists to ensure that they will provide excellent performance benefits, including physical and chemical compatibility with the membranes.
