This technology is useful for powering IP telephones, wireless AP, IP cameras, RFID reader, where it would be inconvenient or not feasible to supply power separately.
The power is supplied by Power Sourcing Equipment, or PSE, which detects whether the remote Ethernet device is a PoE compliant Power Device or not.
If it's not power device, no current is supplied.
If it is PoE Power Device (PD), PSE will send power over Ethernet.
Korenix PSE48AF PoE Injector plays the role of PSE and "injects" power through Ethernet connection to Powered Devices (PD).
Korenix PD1205 PoE Splitter plays the role of PD and "splits" power from PoE to Ethernet devices.
Korenix PSE48AF PoE Injector and PD1205 PoE Splitter comply with IEEE802.3af standard, and transfer both data and electrical power to Ethernet-enabled devices using standard Ethernet CAT5 cables.
Korenix PoE Injector and Splitter are simple to install, requiring neither tools nor software.
Its compact size makes PoE implementation easy.
Both power and data can be transmitted up to 328 feet (100m) using standard Ethernet cabling with virtually no reduction in data throughput.
Korenix PSE48AF PoE Injector supports auto-sensing algorithm to automatically determine and supply power only to devices that can accept 802.3af power over the Ethernet connection.
Korenix PSE48AF PoE Injector can supply power to PD devices up to 15.4 watts per port.
Korenix PD1205 PoE Splitter supplies power for 11W at 5 V DC or 12W at 12V DC.
Both have short circuit protection, and will auto-disconnect for over voltage or under voltage conditions.
