WEEE is effective from August 13th, 2005.
Every manufacturer must provide information on re-use and treatment for new EEEs one year before placing them onto the market, in order to inform re-use centres, treatment and recycling facilities.
RoHS, Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances, bans the sale of electrical and electronic products containing specific toxic contaminants: Lead, Mercury, Chromium, Cadmium, and brominated flame retardants (PBBs and PBDEs).
RoHS will be effective from July 1st, 2006.
Korenix Technology understands the value of a clean environment and is working on producing Green Products according to RoHS and WEEE directives.
Shipments of Korenix products after August 13, 2005 are marked with the WEEE symbol to remind the users that products should be collected by appointed recycling centers at the end of the product life.
Korenix will work with all partners to establish procedures and collaborate with local recycling centres.
Korenix will pilot-run lead-free production at the end of 2005 and mass production by March, 2006.
Korenix is proud to take part in protecting the environment and will work closely with our partners to deliver Green Products in the near future.
