In order to achieve world's highest performance, JetCard 1204w / 1208w uses a high performance single chip solution OX16C954, 4-port universal asynchronous receiver transmitter (UART).

Each UART channel in the JetCard offers data rates up to 921.6 kbps and 128-byte FIFOs.

The FIFOs reduce CPU loading and allow utilisation of higher data rates.

Each UART channel is software compatible with the widely-used industry-standard 16C550 devices.

In addition to increased performance and FIFO size, JetCard 1204w / 1208w also improve automatic software flow control by using XON/XOFF, and automatic hardware flow control by using CTS#/RTS# to prevent FIFO over-run.

Moreover, JetCard 1204w / 1208w come with 15KV ESD surge protection, protecting your communications from power instability.

JetCard 1204w / 1208w has easy-to-install driver that supports Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003 and Linux.
