Koch Knight, a leading innovator in corrosion proof materials and environmental heat transfer equipment, introduces Flexeramic structured media for RTO applications

Koch Knight, a leading innovator in corrosion proof materials and environmental heat transfer equipment, introduces Flexeramic structured media for RTO applications Flexeramic media offer high capacity and efficiency while providing a lower pressure drop compared to random media on the market

Designed for long-lasting performance, Flexeramic structured media elements are composed of corrugated sheets of ceramic that are vertically aligned in the RTO media bed, eliminating any horizontal surfaces that may create resistance to vapour flow.

This geometric construction dramatically reduces the channeling of vapour and provides for more effective contact of hot gases with the ceramic surface.

This increased efficiency offers reductions in energy usage and opportunities to increase flow through the RTO bed, if desired.

The lack of horizontal surfaces also minimizes the media ability to trap particulates from the incoming air, and decreases the pressure drop across the bed.

After replacing existing random packed RTO beds with Flexeramic structured media, users will notice a pressure drop decrease of at least 20 percent or more and improved efficiency, resulting in significantly lower energy costs for the RTO operation.

Flexeramic structured media is also an ideal solution for mass transfer processes such as sulphuric acid production and chlorine drying, offering greater efficiency and lower pressure drop in chemical process applications, as well.

Koch Knight has been a leading innovator in corrosion proof materials and environmental heat transfer equipment for more than 25 years.

A manufacturer and installer of acid-proof materials, equipment and environmental media worldwide, Koch Knight is a true one-stop shop for the most demanding corrosion resistant, mass transfer and heat transfer requirements.

The company is a corrosion resistance leader in non-metallic products, engineering and construction services, which create value in its customers' corrosive process and environmental applications.
