New design features incorporated into Krauss-Maffei Pusher Centrifuges have resulted in superior product feed for increased throughputs, increased ease of maintenance and a reduction in overall costs

New design features incorporated into Krauss-Maffei Process Technology UK Pusher Centrifuge have resulted in superior product feed for increased throughputs, increased ease of maintenance and a reduction in overall equipment size and costs The Pusher Centrifuge from KMPT (UK), which is an industry standard for bulk chemical, plastic, minerals, fibre and food processors, now offers bulk solids processors greater capacity, efficiency and throughput rates with maximum product quality as well as reduced machine downtime and costs

The KMPT Pusher Centrifuge has robust construction, effective and reliable operation and quick and straight forward installation procedure, plus a system integration that makes it ideal for processors looking for continuous separation of suspensions containing crystalline, granular, or cellular products.

Solids can be separated from suspensions, filter cakes further dewatered and dissolved impurities washed out by a displacement wash cycle.

The Pusher Centrifuge SZ is able to separate solids from suspensions, dewater filter cakes and dissolve impurities, which are washed out using a displacement wash cycle for a better quality end product.

Product is fed through a feed pipe into a feed distributor, which rotates with the screen basket, this accelerates the solid/liquid mixture and delivers it uniformly to the feed zone where most of the liquid is filtered off.

This contributes to greater capacity and throughput rates.

In the feed zone the solids grow to form a stable filter cake ring, which is delivered to the Pusher Centrifuge solids discharge.

As the filter cake progresses from the feed zone to the solids discharge washing of the cake can be undertaken, further improving the quality of the discharged product.

New design features incorporated into the Pusher Centrifuge mean much of the necessary maintenance work can be carried out with minimal disruption and machine down-time.

To optimise the advantages offered by continuous operation it is necessary to feed the slurry in the highest possible concentration.

For this purpose Krauss-Maffei Process Technology UK have a wide range of pre-thickening systems available.

For optimum performance the pre-thickening system, centrifuge, solids transport and dryer are incorporated into one unit.

With their unique mechanical engineering and process technology expertise KMPT are able to work with customers to meet the most appropriate equipment specifications and process parameters.

The Pusher Centrifuge SZ is quick and easy to install, being placed directly onto elastic vibration dampers, which means that a vibration foundation is not required.

The new compact design with small footprint means that the new Pusher Centrifuge SZ is suited to even restricted floorspace applications.
