Krohne introduces its new MFC 300 Converter for the Optimass Coriolis flowmeter, a unique instrument that needs only one converter for all measuring applications across a wide range of industries

Krohne, a global technology leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of accurate, reliable and cost effective measurement products for the process industries, introduces its new MFC 300 Converter for the Optimass Coriolis flowmeter, a unique instrument that needs only one converter for all its measuring applications.

The Krohne MFC 300 Converter offers optimal measurement performance and possesses the world's only diagnostic function that is able to diagnose problems with both the measuring instrument and measurement process while complying with standard industry outputs.

The MFC 300 concept is based on the universal converter used in electromagnetic flowmeters, and its design allows for superior performance in multiple areas, including hazardous environments.

The MFC 300 features modular hardware that allows for easy selection for all required outputs and is interchangeable in multiple housing configurations.

The advanced diagnostic software tools that accompany the MFC 300 ensure that the system operates with maximum endurance and reliability.

In the highly unlikely event that the MFC 300 experiences a system failure, the converter comes with a split architecture solution for maximum security and a redundant back-up of calibration parameters.

The MFC 300 does not need to be reprogrammed after a failed unit is replaced.

The MFC 300 can be used for a variety of applications, such as the chemical, food and beverage, oil and gas, machinery and pharmaceutical industries, minerals and mining, power plants, and pulp and paper.

The MFC 300 excels in applications centered around liquids and gases, slurries and viscous products.

It is well-suited for use in concentration measurement during quality control, referred volume and density measurements.
