Trevor Fawcett, formerly general manager of Krohne South Africa, has been appointed managing director of Krohne UK, headquartered in Wellingborough, Northampton Originally from Teesside, Trevor gained his original experience in instrumentation and technology with Imperial Chemical Industries in Wilton, where he worked for 5 years before moving to South Africa 29 years ago

Trevor worked with a number of key players in the measurement and control environment in South Africa, and became general manager of Krohne in Midrand, Gauteng in 1996.

He has returned to the UK to embark on his new role managing a workforce of over 80 people with the leading flow and level company, based at the group's centre of excellence for Coriolis mass flowmeter technology.

Commenting on his new position, Trevor said, "This new role is both challenging and exciting.

Customer demand is strong for the revolutionary Optimass mass flowmeter range developed and manufactured here in Wellingborough, and this has led Krohne to continue its investment in people skills as well as committing more than GBP 500,000 in state-of-the-art calibration rigs.

Soon to be released innovative developments in the Krohne flow and level measurement product line mean the group is ideally placed to consolidate existing markets and to expand into new areas.".
