Variable area flowmeters
Eighty years of continuous development allows Krohne to meet the requirements for the widest variety of process applications with the most extensive range of variable area flowmeters
The tube itself is protected by a stainless steel housing with a safety glass screen.
The glass measuring tube permits a direct reading of the flow, and is printed with a customer-specific scale that corresponds to the flow units and the flow conditions in the plant.
This flow calculation is carried out by Krohne in accordance with VDE/VDI 3513.
The VA 40 meter offers advanced stability due to the special design of the float in the measuring tube, which allows it to rotate in the flow stream.
To cover all possible applications, the floats are available in a wide range of materials including stainless steel, Hastelloy, PTFE, TFM, aluminium and hard rubber.
A range of process connections is available including internal screws, flexible tubes, and flange connections for food hygiene critical applications with FDA-approved sealing rings.
The meter also allows for the fitting of two adjustable limit switches, which will initiate an electric signal when a pre-set flow value is reached.
The limit can be used as NO/NC, and both TG 21 and MS 14/1 are available.
