The Grolsch brewery in Enschede is using Krohne magnetic flowmeters in various processes involving wort, beer, process water, waste water and CIP liquids

Krohne is proud to be associated, through the use of its flowmeters on various applications, with the production of the world-famous Grolsch beer Royal Grolsch NV in the Netherlands, whose rich traditions date back to 1615, has its origin in the east of the Netherlands

Having grown from a local brewery to a national institution, Grolsch is now a world-famous and distinctive-tasting beer, recognisable by its familiar swingtop bottle.

For many years now the Grolsch brewery in Enschede has been using Krohne flowmeters.

Magnetic flowmeters are utilised in various processes involving wort, beer, process water, waste water and CIP liquids.

100% stainless steel Variflux meters are also used, while Krohne ceramic magmeters are used to fill the beer casks due to their excellent repeatability and accuracy.

Mass flow meters are used to measure the flow of yeast and glucose, while UFM meters perform on the de-mineralised water process and VA meters on process water.
