Aberdeen Show

Lamerholm Electronics and sister company Jekyll Electronic Technology will be showing a range of monitoring equipment on stand 301 at the Instrumentation Scotland and Offshore Systems exhibition

Lamerholm Electronics, together with its sister company Jekyll Electronic Technology, will be showing its range of monitoring equipment on stand 301 at this year's Instrumentation Scotland and Offshore Systems exhibition Included on the stand will be the Lamerholm flagship product, the ShockLog RD298, an impact and environmental data recorder that provides on-going monitoring of the intensity and duration of shock and vibration

RD298 units are currently being used by US oil companies for measuring the shock and vibration on the top drives of a rigging platform.

The ShockLog RD298 can also be used for monitoring shock and other environmental influences on instrumentation and equipment in storage and transit.

Packed full of features, the RD298 lets you know when, where and how your product has suffered an event outside preset thresholds and real time date stamping provides detailed arbitration evidence.

From the Jekyll product range, on show will be the new low-cost TeleCount, 2-channel data logger.

Ideal for use in the processing industry, this new product is a simple, cost-effective solution for applications that require logged data to be read remotely across the network.

By adding data logging and remote access capability, meters can be turned into intelligent devices, providing useable data in meeting today's economic challenges.

Adopting a wireless approach across a GSM network further enhances its suitability for a market where there is an ever-increasing demand for remote data collection.

The TeleCount has an integral communications module and on-board processor, which allows for data collection across a wireless network, greatly simplifying installation and cost of ownership, added to this the units can be interrogated remotely during set-up or for test purposes which further enhances its appeal to users.

The new Infinite iLOG GSM stand-alone data acquisition system will also be on the stand.

This latest product enables users to collect and transmit data and alarms via email or ftp thanks to the unit's built-in GSM/GPRS modem.

The units have been designed for companies wanting a simple and cost-effective solution for real-time measurement monitoring.

Users throughout the world can access, monitor and control the system via their internet browser.

Also on the stand will be the new weatherproof version of the Jekyll Telemodem 2 telemetry system.

This instrument is ideal for data acquisition applications where the communications device needs to be situated in remote, rural and exposed locations.

The devices are robust and battery free, overcoming the high maintenance and costly downtimes of traditional battery powered modems.

One of the main advantages of the Telemodem2 is that it uses zero power technology.

This allows the modem to be powered directly from the telephone line, rather than batteries or mains power.

No extra telephone lines are needed, which reduces costs further still and this technology is highly suited for use with low power, battery powered and even solar power monitoring equipment.
