Lamerholm Electronics is pleased to announce the launch of a new addition to its Micro ShockLog range, with the Micro ShockLog 30g instrument

Lamerholm Electronics is pleased to announce the launch of a new addition to its Micro ShockLog range.

Micro ShockLog provides a cost-effective solution for monitoring environmental influences, especially shock and vibration, on goods in transit.

Until now, only available in the performance range +/-10g or +/-100g, Lamerholm has introduced a Micro ShockLog 30g instrument.

Ideal for use by companies transporting equipment such as large computer towers, printers and photocopying machines, where impacts of 10 - 20g are liable to cause damage concerns.

The introduction of the new 30g Micro ShockLog ensures that the instruments are working within 40-70% of their range making the resulting graphs more meaningful as the resolution is greatly improved.

Designed for ease of use, even by unskilled personnel, the Micro ShockLog contains several unique features that significantly reduce both purchase and usage costs.

Its compact and lightweight design, combined with a battery life of up to 9 months, makes it ideally suited for routine monitoring.

It has been designed to record the first incident, followed by the next 9 most significant events.

Real time data stamping identifies when a shock has occurred and when combined with the axis of impact information, provides evidence of the likely damaging event so appropriate action can be taken.

The instrument is simply attached to the container to be transported and the information downloaded either via a direct connection to a PC or laptop or by an iButton when the journey has ended.

The information can then be analysed using Windows based software.

From 1st August 2006 all instruments in the range will be issued with a calibration certificate to give customers peace of mind that the Micro ShockLog has been tested and certified to work within the range specified.
