Liqum promotes efficiencies in its 'Water Quest'
Liqum Water Technology launch new global program to improve industrial Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) on a local level.
Companies can join the program in North America, Europe, South America, Middle East, Asia, Australia, and Russia.
The program will soon be available through United Nations Development Program PPP's (Public Private Partnership) in Africa, and over 160 countries worldwide.
It supports UNDP's efforts in combating the escalating freshwater crisis across the developing and developed countries.
Freshwater stress and contamination have forced businesses to develop new and alternative process management solutions, methods, strategies, and policies.
Liqum's goal is to help companies improve their OEE by an average of 2% within the first year.
Increased OEE can have major impact in overall productivity and profitability, especially in water-scarce regions, areas affected by droughts and floods, and with contaminated water sources.
Chena provides a system to explain why water, chemicals and energy are wasted, and provides solutions on how to improve source, treated, circulating, and waste water management efficiency.
Multinational companies such as ABB and Outotec , and high-tech industrial design and engineering companies such as Protacon, have acquired Liqum's Chena technology to incorporate it as a part of their OEE concept in their industries.
"Electro-chemistry shows phenomena that can be seen with no other method".
"Indices bring all the information onto one display and the history-data-tool facilitates analyzing the trends".
"With Liqum's technology we are able to tackle the possible process disturbances better and faster", states ABB's Service Manager Lassi Svansjo, who has previous experience in using Liqum technology in several projects".
""The Chena technology developed by Liqum supplements our existing technologies and knowledge".
"We plan to further develop the technology in cooperation with Liqum".
"In addition, the Chena technology offers us possibilities to grow as a provider of solutions for process water circulation and wastewater management in mining, minerals and metals industries", explains Jari Rosendal, President - Minerals Processing, Outotec".
"Liqum technology supplements our existing technologies and knowledge".
"In addition, the technology offers us possibilities to grow as a provider of solutions for our customers in the pulp and paper industry," explains Timo Akselin, the CEO of Protacon Engineering, a high-tech industrial design and service company.
Liqum experts will apply knowledge what they have learned in one industry, and share it in another.
Liqum's Chena technology provides industrial water users proven tools and methods to improve OEE, water-efficiency, risk management and sustainable water management.
Chena measures liquids in real-time using electro-chemistry, and analyses how effectively water, chemicals, and energy are being used in production process.
Chena promotes intelligent and real-time process control decisions.
The system detects inefficiencies, disturbances and potential risks.
The system alerts and communicates essential process knowledge for operators, management teams, and policy makers.
Chena is the first single-sensor real-time water quality management system using electro-chemistry in the world.
It was developed for intensive large scale industrial processes.
Companies can now take advantage of a one year program to test Chena technology at a reduced rate.
Chena technology and services are commercially available and have vendor support worldwide.
Liqum can serve companies on local, regional and global scale.
